With the support of the Trade and Industrial Organisation Support Fund from the Trade and Industry Department, FHKI Group 14 (Hong Kong Mould & Die Council) (“HKMDC”) successfully set up the “Hong Kong Pavilion” at the Fakuma International Trade Fair for Plastics Processing from 17-21 October 2023.

The Pavilion stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of 20 Hong Kong manufacturers. It showcased over 100 precision mould and plastic components, serving as a unique platform for industry professionals. This event presented an exceptional opportunity to seek international collaborations and promote their latest products and technologies.

Alongside this, HKMDC leveraged this valuable chance to collaborate with the Hong Kong Productivity Council. Together, they organised a 7-day overseas technology training program titled “Germany and Austria on Advanced Plastics Manufacturing and Processing”. The program ran from the 19th to the 25th of October, 2023. Members were treated to a guided tour of key exhibition booths at the international trade fair of Fakuma. In addition, they also had the opportunity to visit renowned mould and plastic processing factories such as ARBURG, Starlim, NEXUS and KraussMaffei. These visits facilitated learning about the most advanced technologies and operation models in the industry.
