FHKI Group 14 (HKMDC): Hong Kong Local Study Mission was successfully held on 7 Dec 2023, with over 30 participants from Mainland China and various Asian countries and regions in attendance.

During the mission, the participants visited several local academic research institutions and member companies, including the Industrial Center, University Research Facility in 3D Printing, and the State Key Laboratory of Ultraprecision Machining Technology at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. These visits provided valuable insights into the R&D strengths of local universities in Hong Kong. Additionally, the delegation explored Koln 3D Technology (Medical) Limited and Roborn Technology Limited, gaining a deeper understanding of local cutting-edge innovative technologies. The Mission concluded with a visit to the Hong Kong Productivity Council, highlighting the support provided by local organisations for the development of innovative technologies in Hong Kong.

HKMDC aims for this Mission to enable participants from various regions to learn about the strengths of the Hong Kong mould and industry as well as our I&T capacities. The hope is that the local mould and die industry can achieve "empowering the industry with innovation transformation" and contribute to the greater glory of the entire Hong Kong industry.
